- Compensation Range: $140k-$170k+ OTE
The Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant with proven success in a Sales or Business Development role, or with relevant experience, to join our Sales Team. The Sales Consultant will be responsible for following through on leads, prospecting for new business opportunities, establishing partner and referral sources, and building and maintaining an opportunity pipeline sufficient to ensure reaching SOS revenue targets, while delivering a world class client and prospect experience.
In this role, you will identify current and future sales opportunities by interacting with a variety of roles across clients’ and prospects’ organization, generating interest, identifying leads and building a pipeline for current and future sales. This role will be responsible for using a variety of business development tools to identify, attract, engage, qualify, nurture, build networks, and build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities. This individual will make connections that will stimulate incoming sales opportunities, while providing market insights and data to help drive informed decisions regarding engagement with prospective clients. In this role, you will partner with your team in Sales and Marketing to develop and execute innovative, effective sales strategies, including leveraging industry organizations, market analysis, and developing and proposing solutions to clients to achieve goals and drive organizational growth.
The Work You’ll Do

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.- Build and establish referral partners through associations, networking, conferences, and other centers of influence (COI)
- Prospect for new business opportunities and build and maintain an opportunity pipeline sufficient to ensure SOS revenue target achievement.
- Report on the status of sales and marketing goals, metrics and achievement of individual goals to management on a regular basis
- Prospect for new opportunities by reaching weekly (warm/cold) outreach goals as may be measured by call and email activity recorded in CRM and fed by SOS database and other external lead generation sources
- Forecast sale volumes, manage sales plan to meet or exceed weekly goals and assess efficacy of outreach plan, updating management weekly.
- Lead discovery calls to identify and understand customer requirements and needs, understand business processes, then develop and communicate a plan of execution to ensure a successful outcome.
- Qualify all opportunities and manage time invested to provide a maximum ROI
- Draft and negotiate terms for Proposals and Agreements.
- Schedule and Lead meetings with customers, clients and partners on a regular cadence to build a record of positive interactions, determine new business opportunities, strengthen relationships, expand our network.
- Master the use of various digital tools and resources to drive sales activities, including logging all opportunities and communications in CRM
- Assist in developing and personalizing targeted sales materials to deliver best in class sales presentations
- Participate in weekly Sales & Marketing meetings, planning and training sessions
- Work with other SOS Sales Consultants on cross-training opportunities
- Demonstrate an understanding of the distinct customer stages and personas and craft messaging to each accordingly
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience, strongly desired
- Minimum 3+ years’ sales experience in the stock administration industry, financial services industry, or other service-related industry
- Ability to generate and manage a effective referral network
- Experience in partner and end-user sales
- Proven sales and customer relationship track record, measured by over-achieving sales targets, customer satisfaction and business results
- Strong understanding of sales cycles; ability to deliver presentations of current, developing products and solutions
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively, required
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new strategies and technologies
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple clients and prospects, responding in a timely manner, independently
- Ability to quickly gain competence in new markets and gain a deep understanding of clients and prospects, roles, processes and procedures
