About the Role
Stock & Option Solutions is a leading equity compensation firm and an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company. We’re seeking an experienced Financial Reporting professional with equity compensation expertise to support complex client reporting and reconciliation in a fully remote environment.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who thrives in technical financial work and operates with a high degree of ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as primary point of contact for financial reporting team(s)
- Resolve complex issues with Stock Compensation Expense, Share Balance, Disclosures, Deferred Tax Asset, Diluted EPS, and Proxy reporting.
- Quickly and accurately address client questions while providing excellent client service
- Provide support during month/quarter/year end reporting cycles.
- Assist with migrating and reconciling clients between platforms during transition/implementation
- Identify ways to build relationships and drive client loyalty by suggesting best practices and solutions.
- Ensure clients are aware of new reports and functionality available on equity platforms
- Conduct equity platform demonstrations
- Provide client training on equity platform via remote videoconferencing
- Lead special projects, and support clients with their corporate actions
- Manage multiple tasks and timelines simultaneously and prioritize client escalations
- Determine ways to enhance internal processes to increase productivity and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal partners on inquiries and corrections
- Lead cross-departmental projects
- Identify opportunities for system/platform improvements
- Be responsible for compliance with SSAE18 SOC1 procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics or math or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of equity compensation or accounting experience.
- Familiarity with accounting rules for share-based compensation under ASC718.
- Understanding of equity plan compensation and the wealth management industry.
- Project Management experience, with the ability to work on multiple short-term projects concurrently.
- Expertise and experience in theoretical accounting subjects.
- Prior database management experience, desired.
- Prior product development experience, desired.
- Basic SQL script writing skills, desired.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), desired.
- Certified Equity Professional (CEP), desired.
- Proficient in creation and/or utilization of moderate to advanced MS Excel formulas and features

- Has the ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as Legal, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Tax, HR, Financial Reporting) at all levels and influence key stakeholders.
- Adept at interpreting complex accounting theory and translating it into easily explained process.
- Ability to confidently communicate complex topics in a way that is tailored to the audience.
